So, I’ve made it pretty clear that I just love the color purple; it was my absolute fave as a little girl and the accent color for my own wedding. I paired in with emerald green, but it is just as stunning when lined up next to silver. This card box says it all, with beautiful accents that add just a touch of sparkle…the two colors go together so well! Pull in the brightness with your flowers and dresses and then escort in your POP of silver for some truly elegant trimming….gorgeous!

I recently had my makeup trial done in preparation for my wedding. My colors are green and purple, and given the fact that I have brown eyes (and that I was afraid I’d look like an alien in my photos haha) I decided my makeup should go towards purple instead of green. According to my makeup artist-this was an excellent plan! I love the bright pop of purple in eye makeup…especially when it’s a sheer version like this one from Lancome. Keep the rest of your face more neutral (think a clear gloss and peach blush) and you won’t be too over the top. BUT if you do wanna go crazy, then make sure you add in some purple mascara-now that’s a statement!

Always one of my favorite flowers, hydrangeas are just lovely! Placed atop this card box, the blossom is the perfect accent to it’s fourth tier. One of the best things about them (as I have discovered since planning my own upcoming nuptials) is that a little goes a long way especially in centerpieces and bouquets. So, even though they can get pricey – check to see what color is in season – you’ll only need a few stems to create a beautifully full display because they are so full and elegant! I can’t wait to see them incorporated into our floral arrangements…so excited

So, whoever said you can’t wear tights with open toed shoes gets a serious look of disapproval from me…I love this look! First, who doesn’t want to step out in super-colorful tights this fall AND get to keep wearing the fabulous sandals that she bought this summer? As long as you keep everything opaque and remember that we are talking high peep-toes here, not flip flops- you’ll be a definite fashion DO I’m personally excited about the green and purple tights I purchased late last fall and never had a chance to wear, because I’ll be sporting them with the neutral strappy heels I have loved all summer long soon…yay!
