Last call for summer, so I decided I must take the time to highlight this lovely sunshine invoking blue and yellow card box. A bright and lively mix, these colors are a perfect compliment to the late season cooldown. In fact, I know a bride getting married this weekend whose theme incorporates both of these shades and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out! Well, when you can’t seem to decide what colors to go with for your big day, why not just choose all of them! Maybe it’s the last few days I’ve been spending in New Orleans ( a VERY colorful place, may I just say ;) ) but I think this card box, with it’s completely gorgeous array of different shades is about as fun as it could be…not to mention the addition of my favorite accessory-FEATHERS! Well, I have decided that it is summertime now…(yeah, I don’t care what the calendar says!) and very few things make me think happy warm thoughts as much as beautiful bright daisies, like the ones decorating this sunny Guest Wishes box :) I just love the idea of using daisies to bring a fresh and vibrant feeling to a party- as Meg Ryan says in my fave movie, You’ve Got Mail (don’t judge me)…“daisies are the friendliest flower“…so true Ms. Ryan…I’m totally with you on that one ;)

So, seeing as this weekend is the ‘unofficial’ start to summer I thought it would be appropriate to highlight this fun nautical themed card box! Blue and yellow work so well together, especially when it comes to nautically inspired elements and the warm weather is the best time to host a celebration with this idea in mind. Plus, is there anything cooler than a cake shaped like a lighthouse?? I’m gonna have to go with NO on that one…haha…I imagine it’s a little hard to slice though…hmmm :)

Ok, so I know it was hailing in NJ last week, but I refuse to give up on Spring (!) and so I am luring in the warmth with thoughts on Sunshine Yellow  : )

Ok, so I know it was hailing in NJ last week, but I refuse to give up on Spring (!) and so I am luring in the warmth with thoughts on Sunshine Yellow  : )

Yellow is just such a happy color- you can’t dispute it, it’s virtually impossible to create something in this shade that evokes anything but smiles and rainbows- which is why it’s perfect for everything from weddings ( LOVE the pop of color in a bride’s shoes) to refreshing cocktails (YUM!), stylish cakes (adorable) and sunny flower arrangements (lovely!) And obvs, this fab card box accented with pink is amazing!

Of course, you can’t leave out the fashionable face of yellow. A stunning set of citrine earrings and bright hued nail polish really tell the story of a gal who is ready for all the attention in the room to be directed her way….just like the sun ; )

Refreshing. Radiant. Just Right….I’m going to buy some daffodils to brighten up my boring desk now…hehe

Our twitter friend, the fabulous Nearlywed asked us to create a custom wedding card box in the style of her wedding cake-to-be!  The wedding will be a fun a funky event in Las Vegas and the cake has a fun Mad Hatter style design.  We worked very hard to replicate the style of the cake and it really came out wonderfully!
